Maurin Dai

Based in Emerald's Zurich office, Maurin Dai specializes in the physical AI and robotics sector. He is engaged throughout the entire investment process—sourcing, evaluating, selecting, and supporting innovative robotics start-ups from early diligence to exit.

Prior to joining Emerald, Maurin spent over five years at ANYbotics, a legged robot manufacturer at the forefront of physical AI, most recently as Robotics Field Engineering Leader, where he built and scaled the company's Customer Success and Field Engineering functions, led a team of 15 engineers through a 3x headcount expansion, and directed the integration of autonomous systems into industrial workflows for Fortune 500 customers worldwide. He previously worked as a Field Application Engineer at Sensirion, where he worked closely with Asian customers, primarily in South Korea, China and Japan, translating their requirements into new sensor solutions and supporting new product development for high-growth industrial applications.

Maurin holds an MBA from the ZHAW School of Management and Law and an MSc in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Robotics, from ETH Zurich.
