Raghu Bhaskar

Based in Emerald’s Toronto office, Raghu focuses on the Industrial IT and AI sectors. He is involved in all phases of the investment process, from sourcing and evaluating to supporting startups through exit. Passionate about the transformative potential of AI agents, language models, and their real-world applications, he brings a collaborative and open approach to working with founders, colleagues, and industry peers.

Raghu has over eight years of experience across North America and Asia in engineering, technology consulting, and product management. At Asia’s largest technology consulting firm, he delivered IT infrastructure solutions for Canadian energy companies and later advised the C-suite of Canada’s largest retailer on data transformation. He also collaborated with Google’s marketing team in Paris to promote Gemini AI in France.

He holds an MBA from INSEAD, a Master’s in Data Science, and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science Engineering, along with certifications from Databricks, Microsoft, MicroStrategy, Agile, and Cisco. Having lived and worked internationally, Raghu thrives on connecting with people to exchange ideas and perspectives—whether in technology or through outdoor pursuits like golf, skiing, paddle, cricket and tennis.
