Ben Mason

Based in our Toronto office, Ben Mason is currently a Corporate Finance and M&A specialist with Emerald Technology Ventures, focusing on the investment process, encompassing due diligence, valuation, structuring and exits.

Before joining Emerald, Ben worked as an Associate at Plaza Ventures, a Toronto-based growth-stage venture capital firm and – prior to that – as a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Audit & Assurance group, focused on asset management clients. For more than four years, he has been involved in sourcing and executing both equity and debt transactions, performing valuation analysis and conducting due diligence on investment opportunities in the technology sector. Ben also interned at Manulife and Chubb Insurance as an analyst during his studies.

Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University and is both a CFA charterholder and a Chartered Professional Accountant.
