Emmi Kaipio

Based in our Zurich office, Emmi is leading the Emerald Sprint startup collaboration program for corporations.

Emmi’s background is in corporate venturing and open innovation in the cleantech sector. Prior to joining Emerald, she held various positions in companies like Fortum, Wärtsilä and Veolia focusing on innovation management and driving change toward a sustainable future by connecting large corporations with innovative startups.

Earlier in her career, she was part of the Finnish Cleantech Cluster team organizing annual cleantech investment events and establishing a pioneering Nordic level open innovation platform that was then established as a spin-off company.

Emmi holds a master’s degree in Economics (Corporate Environmental Management) from Jyväskylä School of Business & Economics and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sustainable Development. Emmi is fluent in Finnish and English.
