Nastaran Asadi

Nastaran Asadi Zanjani is an AI Investment Manager at Emerald Technology Ventures, based in Zurich, Switzerland. She specializes in AI, Automation, IoT, and Industrial IT. Prior to her current role, Nastaran gained valuable experience at UBS, holding various positions including IT Program Manager in the CTO office of Group Treasury Technology and ESG Regulation Execution Program Manager in Asset Management. Additionally, she played a pivotal role as a Key Account Manager for Startups at the EPFL Innovation Park Foundation, allowing her to immerse herself in the Swiss startup ecosystem and collaborate with both large corporations and resident startups.

Nastaran’s academic journey includes a BSc in Electrical Engineering (Electronics) from Iran University of Science & Technology, followed by an MSc in Digital Electronics from the University of Zanjan. Subsequently, she pursued her PhD studies in Microelectronics and Microsystems at EPFL, during which she was selected as a recipient of Innogrant, a prestigious 100K CHF Innovation Grant. Fluent in Azeri, Persian, and English, Nastaran also possesses proficiency in both French and German, enhancing her ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in various professional environments.
