Tobias Schmid

Tobias is an analyst in our Zurich office. He supports the investment team in sourcing, screening and due diligence of new investments as well as sector studies for Emerald’s global corporate investors. In addition, he supports the Technology Fund team in analyzing and evaluating applications for loan guarantees to startups. 

Prior to joining Emerald in 2022, Tobias interned in the corporate venturing unit of TRUMPF GmbH, in the audit department of PriceWaterhouseCoopers GmbH and was a student teaching assistant of economics at his university. 

Tobias holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in industrial engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and spent part of his studies at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. He is fluent in German and English.
